Following on from SCF’s report and suggestions for revamping the Hawthorns site, in 2019 Southampton City Council commissioned local artist and guerilla mosaic maker Will Rosie to lead a community art project to redecorate the Hawthorn Centre’s activity room with an urban wildlife-themed mural. SCF helped coordinate and supply the numerous volunteers who helped Will to paint the mural.
