Corporate Team Building and Volunteering Days
We are very happy to host corporate or community groups for teambuilding / volunteering sessions doing practical work on The Common - there is always something that needs doing. We have full volunteer and third party insurance and comprehensive first aid kits (just in case) and all our work parties are fully risk assessed. We don’t charge for hosting groups, though a donation is always appreciated.
Past groups have included:
- HSBC - reclaiming pavements on The Avenue
- RBS - reclaiming pavements on Highfield Avenue
- Ordnance Survey - conservation and scrub clearance
- Ramboll - digging a drainage ditch to prevent flooding in the playpark
- University of Southampton Faculty of Medicine - conservation and scrub clearance
- Kingfisher - conservation and scrub clearance
- King Edwards School - weeding and planting in the playpark and scrub clearance
- Pathfinders - dedicated litter picking session
